Privacy Policy

Applications by Andrew Meckley · Effective July 26, 2026

This policy covers every application I build and publish. Part One sets out commitments that hold true across all of them. Part Two states, app by app, exactly what each one accesses and why. Where an app needs its own policy page, one is linked from its entry.

Part One: commitments that apply to every app

Who I am

I am an independent developer building small applications, mostly personal tools and learning projects. There is no company behind them, no investors, and no business model that depends on user data.

What I will never do

Collecting as little as possible

Each app requests only what it needs to do its job. Where an app can work without collecting something, it does not collect it. Several of my applications collect nothing at all, and their entries below say so plainly.

Where data lives

Many of my apps store data only on your own device and never transmit it. Where an app does use a server or a third-party service, its entry in Part Two names that service and says what is sent. Data in transit is protected with HTTPS or an equivalent encrypted channel. Data stored on a device I control is protected by full-disk encryption. Credentials and access tokens are kept out of logs and out of any report or export.

Third-party services

When an app connects to an outside service, that service is named in the app's entry below, along with what is shared and why. Those services have their own privacy policies governing what they do with data, and I have no control over their practices. I do not hand your data to any third party beyond what an app's stated function requires.

Analytics

I do not use cross-app or cross-site tracking. If an individual app uses any analytics or error reporting, that fact is disclosed in that app's entry below. If an app's entry does not mention analytics, the app does not use any.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept only as long as it serves the app's stated purpose. For apps that store data on your own device, deleting the app removes the data. For anything held elsewhere, you can ask me to delete it using the contact address below, and I will do so.

Your choices

Children

My applications are not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some of my projects are educational tools that may be used in a school setting; where an app is intended for classroom use, its entry below states what it collects, and any such app is designed to collect nothing personally identifying. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of my apps, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes to a specific app are reflected in that app's entry.

Part Two: what each app accesses

Every commitment in Part One applies to each app listed here. This section adds the specifics.

Calc by Meckman

iOS Collects no data

Calc by Meckman is a calculator. It collects no data of any kind: no personal information, no usage data, no analytics, no tracking or advertising identifiers, no cookies. It integrates no third-party services and makes no network connections. All calculations happen on your device, and nothing is stored or transmitted. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or delete.

Meckley Health Tracker

Private, single user Runs locally

A personal tool that combines my own WHOOP physiological data with my own nutrition data into a daily report. It is not a product and is not offered to or usable by anyone else: there are no other users, no accounts, and no sign-up. It reads only my own data, stores it in a local encrypted-at-rest database on my own computer, and never sells, publishes, or shares it. It connects to WHOOP to retrieve my own records, to my own email inbox in read-only fashion, and to Anthropic to generate the written summary.

Trajectory

Web Runs in the browser

Trajectory (trajectory.meckman.org) measures a robot ball launcher's exit speed and launch angle from a video the user loads, for robotics students and mentors. Videos are decoded in the browser and never uploaded. Shot measurements and notes are stored only in that browser until the user deletes them or exports a session file themselves. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising or cookies. The site is served by Cloudflare, which receives standard request information when the page loads.

WallBitHolder

Web No tracking

WallBitHolder (wall-bit-holder.meckman.org) is a static product website for a wall-mounted bit holder. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Orders are placed by email to orders@meckman.org; the name, address and other details a customer sends are used only to fulfil the order and are shared only with the shipping carrier. The site is served by Cloudflare, which receives standard request information when the page loads.

Apps not listed above collect no personal data. If you are looking for an app that is not here and want confirmation, email me and I will add its entry.
